Ebi and Steak
Fried Gyoza
White Chocolate Milkshake
Coca-cola
Dalandan Shake

Problems:
- The food took forever to arrive
- Ebi Teppan was served cold
- 2 Flies kept flying around our table (indoor seating)
- Person that ordered the steak was NOT given a knife and had to ask for one
- One of the forks on the table had bits of food still stuck to it
- The waitress poured tea at the end of the table and left the cup there instead of serving it to the person that ordered it

Ambiance: ♨ (funky and not enjoyable as the person seated next to us was enjoying his cigarette in a no smoking section)
Food: ♨ ♨ (flavorful)
Service: ♨
Value for Money: (Almost 3k for 3 people) For this amount, we could've eaten at a proper Japanese restaurant with better service

Italianni's Nuvali

Returning to Manila on a Sunday night seemed like a big mistake; and I'm sure everyone else in Sta. Rosa thought the very same thing. Traffic was crawling on the highway and hunger was setting in. The nearest food stop was at Nuvali. Majority wanted Italian for dinner , hence despite a genuine Italian friend begging us not to do so...

Italianni's it was.

We were first seated at a nearby table as the waitress cleared our table for seven. Upon settling down with menus in hand, drinks and an appetizer were ordered followed by our mains. The waiter mentioned (in a seemingly rehearsed line) that our orders would come in 15 to 20 minutes

Two bread baskets, a polished off calamari plate, empty drink glasses and several follow ups with the kitchen later... and still no food arrived. It was nearly 9:30 PM, just a little over an hour since we first walked in. And alas.... not a single main dish in sight.

That does it.

We had our order canceled and demanded for the bill. We just wanted to get out of there, Presto (no pun intended). The waiter then apologizes profusely to no avail - anger and hunger is a tough combination to beat.  We asked for our bill again. He then politely said that our drinks and appetizer were on the house. Followed it up with wishing us a good night ahead and that  he'd "like us to visit again". Is he serious????  Classic. Well forget that. So without paying a single cent, we left.  I'm sorry Italianni's but free glasses of Coke and fruit shakes do not in any way make up for the bad service or lack thereof.

Italiannis' Nuvali? Cheerful staff but a complete waste of time.

Ambiance: ♨♨
Food: It never came! But the appetizer was good, or we were just hungry.
Service: ♨ (for trying)
Value for Money: ♨

Conti's Greenbelt 2

Conti's
Address: Space 11 & 12 Greenbelt II, Esperanza Street, Makati City
Contact No: 7560047 / 7560137

We needed a reasonable and delicious place to have lunch and opted for Conti's. My Salpicao arrived and as I was slicing a piece of meat, I found a fruit fly happily swimming in the sauce. I showed it to the waiter and he suggests they cook a new order. Fair enough.

My new freshly made Salpicao arrives and as I was slicing my meat again, several strands of cut hair was in my dish. I summon the manager this time. I politely retell my tale from the fruit fly up 'til the hair strands and asked if they were actually doing this on purpose. He obviously says of course not and I say, I'll let this one off because I am extremely hungry at this point but please, I hope you address the matter. He offers us free dessert. Thanks but no thanks. We still had to pay for our entire meal.

Ambiance: ♨ (noisy, crowded, dirty kitchen?)
Food: dirty
Service: ♨ (for trying)
